Dataset Source

The data provided within this training course originates from several ship surveys conducted by the Marine Mammal and Turtle Division of Southwest Fisheries Science Center, NOAA Fisheries.  Ocean Science Analytics credits the Cetacean Acoustics Department of this division for these data.  For more information regarding the projects and information available from this organization, please visit the Southwest Fisheries Science Center website.

The data available for the Raven Lite module 8 section was collected on the Ocean Observatories Initiative's cabled arrays off of Newport, Oregon.  These National Science Foundation supported data are accessible to all.
